A Planned Parenthood in NYC Collects Funds for Strengthening Sexual Health Rights

Planned Parenthood – PP NYC Votes PAC – is moving ahead from the rest and has plans for the 2020 election cycle.

On October 21, 2019, the organization PP NYC Votes PAC collected more than $225,000 at the annual benefit for the purpose of electing pro-reproductive rights advocates that have the goal to improve the sexual and reproductive education as well as health care in the New York State and New York City.

Planned Parenthood allies and many donors like assembly members, attorneys, state senators, celebrities, and other popular personalities including Stephanie March, Jen Metzger, Catalina Cruz, and Kate Beckinsale showed their support by packing 620 Loft and Garden on the goal to make New York state and city a progressive area when it comes to sexual wellness and reproductive health care. This also includes legal and safe abortion.

The Chief Executive Officer of the PP NYC Votes PAC, Laura McQuade, is of the opinion that the organization has worked a lot in the past few years on sexual wellness and reproductive health care that has in return supported justice, freedom, and equity among all residents of the New York state, with an emphasis on safe abortion practises.

Jill Lafer is an avid advocate who has fought for sexual wellness and reproductive health care rights for people for a long time of three decades.

He emphasizes on the need of active elected officials presents in the state who would work on the development of programs, policies, and creating awareness among people which will help them achieve the best state of sexual wellness and reproductive health care for everyone without having faced problems like discrimination.

PP NYC Votes PAC has a good record from the past as it has a win rate of 95 per cent for the sponsored candidates in the previous year which has totally changed the viewpoint of the New York State Senate in a new way.

The Reproductive Health Act from the last year is a beneficial result and an example of how the New York residents are focusing on the sexual wellness and reproductive health care being moved into the state law and give it the importance that it deserves.

The other bills and acts regarding the sexual wellness and reproductive health care include the Boss Bill, Comprehensive Contraceptive Coverage Act, The Conversion Therapy Ban, GENDA, and the review board for maternal mortality.
