The Center for the Youth Wellness – CYW – made an announcement that it is going to be in partnership with United State’s two leading healthcare systems in the Southeast for launching a program for safety regarding childhood adversity.

The company’s National Pediatric Practise Community – NPPC – has made some trainings at Atrium Health and Novant Health’s headquarters in Charlotte for the preparing of screening for trauma in around six clinics all across the city.

The ultimate goal of the health care system is to channelize the ongoing impact of health of exposure to the adverse childhood experiences – ACEs – that involves neglect, abuse, and separation from parents or guardians.

The key goal of our NPPC aim is in providing efficient assistance and training for helping pediatric practises in the implementation of childhood adversity techniques for resilience building as well as adversity screening in different communities.

The project involving the pilot screening involves the assistance of the State of North Carolina’s struggle in addressing traumatic experiences and stressful situations that might put behind the wellness and health of the individuals according to a report from Center for Disease Control.

The stress factors are the predisposing factors that involve many social influences like instability of housing, food insecurity, community violence and discrimination.

The company has actively screened for the cases in the pediatric section and has made public scale efforts regarding the childhood effects of adversity and trauma that includes a community show up of the documentary named Resilience.

Moreover, the health care system also just got a big amount of funds from Michael Jordan for building up two health clinics for serving high risk communities in Charlotte, one of that opened two months ago in West Charlotte.

The company management appreciates its partnership with the Center of Youth Wellness to make efforts regarding screening and the identification of patients going through adverse childhood experiences.

In addition to that, the company is aimed at the elimination of health equity gapping, this is the reason there is a brought up of integrated health care models with social workers that screen for ACEs in the communities where they know that is of much more prevalence.

With more screening for the adversity and trauma in childhood in Charlotte city, the main focus of the whole partnering deal is to gradually expand the screening at the Novant Health and Atrium Health Levine Children pediatric clinics across the US.
