All health experts agree on the importance of physical activity which is necessary to be fit and active. Playing any sport brings numerous cognitive and physical benefits and shows a person’s involvement in society.

From childhood, people from all over the world are into some type of physical activity or any sport, when they reach a level to play it. In childhood, playing different games helps to learn new skills, express thoughts, and confide faith in people. When they grow up, only a little of all this actually changes when most of them play it for fun and only a few people actually make sports their profession.

This current study provides insight into how the physical benefits of rugby need more study and assessment instead of stopping here. These results are promising for prediabetic people or people with a family history of type 2 diabetes or other diseases. Involving themselves in a sport, whether for fun or for professional growth, the health benefits remain the same.

This research team analyzed more than 200 studies based on rugby players and their health from all continents to understand the common factors and themes for all people. with this comprehensive analysis, they also tried to highlight the flaws and gaps that remain in the research especially related to the health benefits of sports.

This detailed review was much needed as most of the studies were never correlated with the previous studies. This current study received funding from the Rugby Football Union combined with the Scottish Rugby Union. It has tried to provide a completely balanced narrative on how rugby is associated with benefits against type 2 diabetes, heart diseases, etc.

The study authors acknowledge the role of rugby union which accommodates nearly eight million ruby players from 120 different countries, making sure that they are following the WHO’s standard activity goals for players’ fitness.

The research team hopes that these results can encourage more people and new ruby players to start playing it or think about making it a professional career choice considering all its benefits.
